One of the few great mounds in the Umami hills whose megalithic chamber can be entered. If indeed the tomb of the never-crowned "father of sovereigns," it holds a key to the royal line on the eve of Asuka.
A great three-tiered round mound 50–60m across and 13m high, built in the late 6th century. Its 17.1m corridor chamber rivals Ishibutai's, and yielded horse trappings, a silver-fitted sword, arrowheads, 13,000+ glass beads, and Sue ware. Widely identified as the Narai Tomb of Prince Oshisaka-Hikohito, father of Emperor Jomei.

Chamber visits require booking with Koryo Town two weeks ahead (bring a flashlight); special openings in spring and autumn. The surroundings are a historic park.
