Archaeological view
A rectangular twin-chamber mound ~40m × 30m. Its paired corridor chambers (each ~13m) hold an intact house-shaped sarcophagus (east, late 6th c.) and a unique stone door-sill (west, early 7th c.). Gilt-bronze pendant horse fittings and crystal beads were found. Widely seen as the first "twin tomb" of Empress Suiko and Prince Takeda before their reburial at Shinaga (id:123).
