Archaeological view
The IHA classifies this mausoleum as a round mound. No excavation record was confirmed, so its date, burial facility, and finds remain unknown. Archaeological scholarship instead often favors Tsukamyojin Kofun as Prince Kusakabe's tomb.
Imperial Household Agency view
Managed by the IHA as the Mayuminooka Mausoleum of the posthumously titled Emperor Okanomiya (Prince Kusakabe) at Mori, Takatori, designated in the Bunkyu era. Scholars favor Tsukamyojin Kofun (id:577) to the east as his true tomb. Worship from the oratory.
