The Imperial Household Agency holds Haji ware and other material from the Iwazono Mausoleum Reference Site. The central burial facility and full grave assemblage are unknown.
Two views on the occupant
Archaeological view
A 210m keyhole mound at Tsukiyama, Yamatotakada. It extends about 261m including the water-filled moat, and the city dates it broadly to around the 5th century. As a Mausoleum Reference Site, its central burial facility and occupant remain unverified.
Imperial Household Agency view
The Imperial Household Agency manages it as the Iwazono Mausoleum Reference Site. This status does not archaeologically establish an occupant and should be distinguished from the local tradition identifying it with Emperor Buretsu.
