Finds & research
Shield- and house-shaped haniwa fragments were found on the summit, and two miniature vessels were recovered inside two members of the cylindrical-haniwa row. Parallels at Otomeyama and Shibutanimukaiyama help document rituals involving haniwa.

Archaeological view
A large 95m-diameter, two-tiered round mound built on the slope east of the front of Tsukiyama Kofun. Haniwa rows encircled its terrace and summit, and their characteristics date it to the early 5th century.

Field notes
The mound is surrounded by housing. Observe it from public roads and designated viewing areas, without entering the mound or private land.
