Numerous grave goods were recovered and designated collectively as an Osaka Prefectural Tangible Cultural Property. The detailed inventory and burial structure remain for further verification.

Archaeological view
A square-fronted mound at least 65m long, designated Mound 1 of the Katano Kurumazuka group. Investigations during construction of Katano High School identified one square-fronted mound, one square mound, and three round mounds; Higashi Kurumazuka yielded numerous grave goods. It dates to the Middle Kofun period, and its occupant is unknown.
Imperial Household Agency view
This is not an Imperial Household Agency mausoleum. It became an Osaka Prefecture-designated Historic Site on 29 March 1991, and its finds were designated Prefectural Tangible Cultural Properties on 12 December 1994.
