Overview
A large square mound at Kasuga in Taishi, designated by the Imperial Household Agency as Emperor Yomei's mausoleum. Taishi Town notes similarities in mound size and shape to Ishibutai Kofun. The archaeological dating to the early 7th century should be distinguished from the reburial in 593 recorded in a historical text.

Archaeological view
A square mound measuring 65m east-west, 60m north-south, and 10m high, surrounded by a 7m-wide dry moat. Including the outer embankment, the precinct reaches about 100m on a side. The burial facility and grave goods are unknown.
Imperial Household Agency view
The Imperial Household Agency designates and manages it as Kochi-no-Shinaga-no-Hara Mausoleum of Emperor Yomei, the 31st emperor, and classifies it as a square mound. The Nihon Shoki records reburial at Shinaga in 593, but the occupant has not been archaeologically verified.
Field notes
The Imperial Household Agency gives access as about a five-minute walk from the Yomei Tenno-ryo-mae bus stop. Worship hours are generally 8:30–17:00.
