Overview
A pre-road excavation in 1960 identified a 6.1m pit chamber.
Finds & research
The chamber yielded part of a wooden coffin, 23 mirrors including inner-flower mirrors, and a large quantity of mercury vermilion.

Archaeological view
An approximately 103m keyhole mound at Yanagimoto, Tenri, dating from the late 3rd to early 4th century. Its east side was lost to road construction.
Imperial Household Agency view
Not an IHA mausoleum; designated a Nara Prefectural Historic Site on 31 March 2009.
