Overview
A ~144m keyhole mound in Tenri City — managed by the IHA as an accessory mound of the Emperor Keiko Mausoleum (Shibuya Mukoyama, 300m, id:204). Late 4th century. One of the largest accessory mounds in the region, forming part of the great royal tomb cluster around Tenri City.
Finds & research
No excavation conducted as an IHA accessory mound. The basic keyhole mound structure is confirmed from exterior observation. Internal structure and grave goods unknown.

Archaeological view
A ~144m keyhole mound in Shibuya-cho, Tenri City. Late 4th century. Located just north of Shibuya Mukoyama Kofun (Emperor Keiko Mausoleum, 300m), jointly managed by the IHA as an accessory mound. At 144m, it is one of the largest accessory mounds in the Yamato region and merits attention as a major mound in its own right. Stone paving and haniwa are presumed. The occupant is unknown but likely a person closely associated with Emperor Keiko.
Imperial Household Agency view
Managed by the IHA Shoryobu as an accessory mound (baisho) of Shibuya Mukoyama Kofun (Emperor Keiko Mausoleum, 300m). Administered as part of the Emperor Keiko mausoleum complex without a separate IHA designation number, but maintained as one of the large accessory mounds.

Adjacent to Shibuya Mukoyama Kofun (Emperor Keiko Mausoleum, id:204); both can be viewed from the surrounding roads. About 15 min walk from JR Sakurai Line "Yanagimoto" Station. IHA jurisdiction; exterior road viewing only. Also near Andonzan Kofun (Emperor Sujin Mausoleum, id:203) for a Tenri City royal mausoleum tour.
