Archaeological view
A round mound 26.5m in diameter and 6m high (per the site manager, Kii-fudoki-no-oka; the chamber ceiling height is 3.6m) in Iwahashi, Wakayama City. Part of the Otaniyama district of the Special Historic Site "Iwahashi Senzuka Kofun Group." Mid-6th century. Contains a both-sided horizontal stone chamber (Iwahashi-type with stone shelf and beam), opening SE. Chamber total length 7.61m; a representative example of the Iwahashi-type stone chamber.
