The continuity of design with the adjacent Inouchi Kurumazuka Kofun (id:304) attracts scholarly attention.
46m keyhole mound (rear 29.5m dia., 4m high; front 29.5m wide, 3.5m high). Early 6th century (TK10 pottery style period). Two-tiered. Multiple excavations by Osaka University Archaeological Research Lab. Its design plan is noted as continuing that of Inouchi Kurumazuka Kofun — evidence of continuous chieftain tomb construction in the Otokuni region.

About 20 min walk from Hankyu Kyoto Line "Nagaokaten-jin" Station. Adjacent to Inouchi Kurumazuka Kofun; can be visited together as part of the Nagaokakyo City portion of the Otokuni Kofun Group. Recommended combined with Igenoyama Kofun (id:283) on a Nagaokakyo City kofun tour.
