62m front-square/rear-square mound, rear section 6.4m high. Located on a ridgeline (altitude 145m) on the western edge of the Kyoto Basin. Late 4th century. Pit-style stone chamber in the rear yielded 4 triangular-rimmed divine beast mirrors plus weapons, tools, beads, and pottery. One mirror type has identical counterparts at 9 other sites nationwide, demonstrating Yamato authority mirror distribution. Artifacts housed at Tokyo National Museum and Nagaokakyo City Buried Cultural Properties Center.
