71m front-square-back-square mound in Osumi, Kyotanabe City — part of the National Historic Site "Tsuzuki Kofun Group." Adjacent southwest of Osumi Kurumazuka Kofun (id:301); the near-identical parallel mounds are a nationally rare arrangement. Tomb of a powerful chieftain controlling the Kizu River basin in the early 4th century.

71m front-square-back-square mound. Rear: 37m per side; front: 30m wide. Rectangular moat (outer embankment 103m×73m). Early 4th century. Around Meiji 27, a vertical pit stone chamber was discovered during land clearing, yielding stone objects and swords. Cylindrical, flared-rim, and house-shaped haniwa collected. Nationally rare parallel placement with Osumi Kurumazuka Kofun (id:301, 66m).

About 5 min walk from Osumi Kurumazuka Kofun (id:301). About 25 min walk from Kintetsu Kyoto Line "Shin-Tanabe" Station. Strongly recommended to visit together with Osumi Kurumazuka Kofun.
