A scallop-shaped mound (58m long) located south of Kamiishizu Misanzai Kofun. 5th century. Presumed to have a satellite relationship with the large mausoleum to the north. Not designated by the IHA; managed by Sakai City. The small scallop projection is characteristic, and the mound forms part of the southern accessory cluster of the Mozu group.Constituent monument of the "Mozu-Furuichi Kofun Group" UNESCO WHS (2019). The name "Hataduka" has folkloric roots possibly connected to ancient ritual uses of banners. The presence of accessory mounds like this one around Kamiishizu Misanzai Kofun (2nd largest) as well as around Daisen Kofun demonstrates that the Mozu plateau functioned as a complex funerary zone organized around multiple great royal mounds, each with their own satellite and accessory burials.

A scallop-shaped mound (58m long) presumed to be a satellite or accessory burial. 5th century. Located south of Kamiishizu Misanzai Kofun (the designated Emperor Richu mausoleum), it may have served as a satellite of that mound. Occupant unknown. The scallop-shaped tsukuridashi projection is confirmed, showing the typical 5th-century scallop form. The name "Hataduka" (Flag Mound) may derive from ritual use of flags or banners at this location in ancient times.
