Dated to the mid-5th century, slightly later than satellite No. I, suggesting phased construction during or shortly after the main mound campaign. A characteristic example of the satellite tomb system in the Mozu group.Constituent monument of the "Mozu-Furuichi Kofun Group" UNESCO WHS (2019). The name "Ryuzayama" is a local place name; the character for "dragon" (竜) may hint at a local legendary tradition. The Daisen satellite system (tombs i, ro, ha, ni, ho, he, to, chi, ri, etc.) forms an ensemble of mounds surrounding the main royal tomb, creating a unified "mausoleum landscape."

Satellite tomb No. Ro of Daisen Kofun. A scallop-shaped mound, 61m long. Estimated date: mid-5th century (c. 450s). Slightly later in date than satellite No. I (Magotayuyama, 65m, early 5th c.), suggesting the satellite mounds were built in phases during or immediately after the construction of the main mound. The scallop form indicates an occupant of high but slightly subordinate rank relative to the principal Daisen burial.
