Archaeological view
An IHA observation during fence renewal in fiscal 2024 found modern fill and natural ground in the excavated areas and reported no remains or artifacts related to the reference site. Its form, size, date, and burial facility remain unresolved in the public record.
Imperial Household Agency view
Managed by the IHA as the Higashiyama-Honmachi reference site associated with Emperor Chukyo, whose formally designated mausoleum is the separate Kujo Mausoleum. No official public evidence checked confirms a corridor chamber, so this entry does not assert that the site is a late-Kofun-period mound.
