Overview
A reference site linked to Emperor Junnin in southern Awaji, alongside his mausoleum (id:519) and the Awaji Tomb (id:692). A small evergreen-shrouded knoll amid the village, quietly viewed from its edge.

Managed by the IHA as the Ichi reference site (designated 1908) — held by tradition to be the first burial place of the deposed Emperor Junnin, who died in exile in 765. A small two-stepped knoll stands at the south end of its triangular precinct, screened by evergreens. Its nature as a kofun is unknown.
