The IHA designates this as Empress Inoue's mausoleum, but public evidence checked does not establish its archaeological form, size, date, burial facility, or finds. Documentary accounts of reburial and elevation to mausoleum status are kept separate from the site's unresolved archaeology.

Managed by the IHA as the Uchi Mausoleum of Empress Inoue, consort of Emperor Konin — deposed on a curse charge, she died in confinement the same day as her son and was restored as empress in 800 amid vengeful-spirit fears, a wellspring of goryo belief. Her son's tomb (id:690) lies 540m north. Worship at the oratory.
