Archaeological view
Two round mounds at the mouth of the Kose valley. The south mound (~25m; 15m chamber) holds two house-shaped sarcophagi, the corridor coffin's boss carved with a lotus — a famed union of kofun and Buddhist culture. The north "Tsukaana" mound sits in a private garden. Built c. 600; gilt earrings and Sue ware recovered.
