Archaeological view
A two-tiered mound — square base ~13.8m, round top ~9.2m — of the rare round-on-square form, built of rammed earth with paving c. 700 (a Nara-period dating also exists). Its south-opening chamber yielded gold and silver beads, silver sword fittings, gold leaf, and lacquered-coffin fragments.
