Archaeological view
A 75m keyhole mound with moat, built in the late 5th century; unexcavated (a chest-style sarcophagus is presumed). Haniwa recovered. Part of the southern Umami (Tsukiyama) group.
Imperial Household Agency view
Managed by the IHA as the Ryosai reference site; the candidate occupant is Queen Naniwa-no-Ono, consort of Emperor Kenzo.
