Overview
A square mound (~50m per side) in Domyoji, Fujiidera City — a UNESCO World Heritage constituent of the Furuichi Kofun Group (2019). With Sukedayama and Nakayamazuka it forms the "Mitsuzuka" trio of square mounds, serving as satellite tombs of Nakatsuyama Kofun (Nakatsuhime Mausoleum). Famous for the wooden "shura" sledge found in its moat.
Finds & research
A large wooden shura (hauling sledge) was recovered from the moat between Yashimazuka and Nakayamazuka. The internal burial facility and grave goods are uninvestigated as a designated satellite tomb.

Archaeological view
A square mound (~50m per side) in Domyoji, Fujiidera City. With Sukedayama (~35m) and Nakayamazuka (~50m), it forms the "Mitsuzuka" trio of three square mounds, which share a moat and align their southern edges — indicating near-simultaneous construction. An accessory of Nakatsuyama Kofun (Nakatsuhime Nakatsuyama Mausoleum, 290m). Nakayamazuka and Yashimazuka are IHA-designated satellite tombs of that mausoleum, while Sukedayama is a National Historic Site. The moat between Yashimazuka and Nakayamazuka famously yielded a large wooden "shura" sledge used to haul tomb-building materials.

About 10 min walk from Kintetsu Minami-Osaka Line "Hajino-Sato" Station. Include in a World Heritage northern Furuichi tour with Nakatsuyama, Sukedayama, and Nakayamazuka. The excavated shura sledge is exhibited at the Chikatsu-Asuka Museum.
