Overview
North of the rear of the Emperor Chuai mausoleum mound and interpreted as associated with it. Its occupant and burial facility are unresolved.
Finds & research
Cylindrical haniwa were recovered outside the embankment. The burial facility and grave goods are unconfirmed.
Two views on the occupant
Archaeological view
A 60m keyhole mound in Fujiidera, with a 40m-wide, 4m-high front and a 38m-diameter, 6.5m-high rear, built in the late 5th century. Its moat and embankment have been identified.
Imperial Household Agency view
Not an IHA mausoleum; part of the National Historic Site Furuichi Kofun Group and the Mozu-Furuichi World Heritage Site.
