Overview
A square mound 67m on a side and 9.7m high, built against the outer embankment west of the front section of Hakayama Kofun. It has two tiers, and its north-south axis runs almost parallel to Hakayama's outer embankment. From its placement and orientation, it is thought to be related to Hakayama. The surrounding moat is preserved underground. Fujiidera City dates it to the middle of the 5th century; it is part of the National Historic Site Furuichi Kofun Group and a constituent monument of the Mozu-Furuichi Kofun Group World Heritage Site, inscribed in 2019.

Archaeological view
A square mound 67m long and 9.7m high, built in two tiers, occupant unknown, dated to the middle phase of the Middle Kofun period (mid-5th century in Fujiidera City’s account). It sits against Hakayama Kofun's outer embankment west of the front section, its north–south axis almost parallel to that embankment; for this reason it is thought to be related to Hakayama. A moat rings it, preserved underground.
