One of southern Yamashiro's greatest early mounds, on the Otokoyama hills of Yawata. The octagonal hall on its summit tells how the tomb lived on as a medieval holy hill.

Archaeological view
The largest of the Tsuzuki group at ~120m, built in the late 4th century. Its chamber, exposed in 1902, yielded five mirrors and abundant bracelet-shaped stones and weaponry. The Important Cultural Property octagonal hall of Shoboji crowns the rear circle.
