66m front-square-back-square mound in Osumi, Kyotanabe City — part of the National Historic Site "Tsuzuki Kofun Group." One of the leading early 4th-century mounds in southern Yamashiro. Nationally rare as a pair with the adjacent Osumi Minamizuka Kofun (71m) of similar size.

66m front-square-back-square mound. Rear square: 36m per side, 4.5m high; front: 18m wide, 1.5m high. Early 4th century. Rectangular moat surrounding. Stone paving and haniwa fragments collected. Burial chamber: vertical pit stone chamber or clay chamber presumed. Unusually paired with the similarly sized Osumi Minamizuka Kofun (71m) to the southwest — a nationally rare example of two front-square-back-square mounds side by side.

Not designated by the IHA. Designated as Kyotanabe City's first National Historic Site in 1974 (Showa 49). Renamed and re-designated "Tsuzuki Kofun Group Osumi Kurumazuka Kofun" in 2022 (Reiwa 4).
Field notes
About 20 min walk from Kintetsu Kyoto Line "Shin-Tanabe" Station. Set in farmland; the full mound profile is visible from the surroundings. Best visited together with the adjacent Osumi Minamizuka Kofun.
