219m mound in Nara City, one of the main mounds in the Saki group.The name "Ishizukayama" reportedly derives from exposed stones on the mound resembling a rock pile. The reign of Emperor Seimu—when the chronicles describe the establishment of provinces and roads—coincides with the early formation of the Saki kofun group.
