Large 200m keyhole mound in Kishiwada City. One of the largest in southern Osaka, yet little-known — sometimes called the "phantom great kofun."
Stone paving (fukiishi) traces and cylindrical and figural haniwa finds have been confirmed. The three-tiered mound structure with surrounding moat (total length 200m) is established from exterior observation. Systematic interior investigation has not been conducted; burial chamber type and grave goods remain unknown. The hillside location makes access and investigation challenging. Despite being the largest keyhole mound in southern Osaka, the mound is now covered in bamboo and woodland, earning it a cult reputation as the region's "secret giant kofun."
Located on a hillside in Kishiwada City, the approach is somewhat rugged, but visitors are rewarded with an impressive mound now draped in bamboo groves.
