Overview

A 40m round mound in Fujiidera City, in the northern part of the Furuichi group south of Konda Hachimangu shrine. Late Kofun period construction, near the satellite mound zone of the Ojin mausoleum (Konda Gobyoyama, 425m). The name "Miya no Minami" (south of the shrine) refers to its position south of Konda Hachimangu—one of Japan's three great Hachimangu shrines. The shrine and the Ojin mausoleum form an integrated sacred landscape, and this mound is an important element of the historic Konda district.

Excavation records are limited. Surface-collected haniwa and pottery fragments have been reported, but burial chamber details are unconfirmed.
