Satellite tomb Kou (circular, 56m diameter) of Daisen Kofun. Located northeast of the main mound. 5th century. The circular form is simpler than the keyhole or scallop forms and may reflect a lower hierarchical rank. The name "Chayama" (Tea Hill) may derive from a local tradition involving tea cultivation or the rounded shape of the mound resembling a tea bowl.Constituent monument of the "Mozu-Furuichi Kofun Group" UNESCO WHS (2019). The cluster of satellite mounds surrounding Daisen Kofun reflects the extent of the ancient mausoleum landscape. Possible occupants include consorts, princes, retainers, or others connected to the great king, but cannot be confirmed without excavation. Restricted from general entry as an IHA-managed mausoleum.

Satellite tomb Kou (1st in the second catalog) of Daisen Kofun. A round mound, 56m diameter. 5th century. Round satellite mounds are generally regarded as a lower-grade form than scallop or keyhole shapes, suggesting the occupant held a relatively lower rank among the king's close associates. 56m diameter is a mid-range size for round mounds. Located northeast of Daisen Kofun, close to the Otsu satellite (Daianzi Kofun, 62m).

Managed by the IHA as "Satellite Tomb Kou (No. 1 in the kou-otsu sequence)" of the Nintoku Mausoleum. The IHA uses both the iroha syllabary and the kou-otsu-hei order to catalog satellite tombs; "kou" designates the first in this second catalog.
