Archaeological view
The mound is heavily altered and its form unclear (usually treated as round). Built in the early 7th century, its corridor-type chamber (~10.2–10.4m total) yielded three ornamental swords — gilt mallet-headed and twin-dragon ring-pommeled — plus a bead-pattern mirror, horse gear, beads, and Sue ware: a court-connected warrior deep in the Tajima mountains.
