Overview

The third principal mound of the Saijo group, apparently succeeding Gyojazuka and Hitozuka — completing three generations of eastern-Harima chieftains on one terrace.

Cylindrical haniwa; burial uninvestigated.

Two views on the occupant

Archaeological view
A round mound with a projection (scallop type), ~40–45m across and 6m high; a 2006 survey restored the total length at ~51.5m. Two-tiered, built in the mid-5th century. Burial uninvestigated; cylindrical haniwa recovered.
