Archaeological view
Himeji City describes a square mound about 50m per side, included in the National Historic Site as Tomb No.3 of the Danjozan group. It has a composite chest-style sarcophagus, stone paving, and haniwa; mirrors, blades, and beads have been reported. Part of the coffin is exposed on the mound. The city’s brief account does not establish a precise construction date or the relationship between this tomb’s occupant and Danjozan’s.
