Overview
A square mound 63m on a side and 7m high, built into the outer embankment north-east of the rear circle of the Nakatsuhime mausoleum. It has two tiers, and its axis is thought to follow a radial line from the center of the mausoleum's rear circle. From its placement and orientation, it is thought to have been closely related to the larger mound. The surrounding moat is preserved underground. It is assigned to the early Middle Kofun period. Part of the National Historic Site Furuichi Kofun Group, it is a constituent monument of the Mozu-Furuichi Kofun Group World Heritage Site, inscribed in 2019.
Finds & research
Cylindrical and figural haniwa have been recovered from the mound. A moat rings it, preserved underground. Details of the burial facility remain unconfirmed.

Archaeological view
A square mound 63m long and 7m high, built in two tiers (Habikino City's list gives 50m). The official World Heritage website dates it to the first half of the 5th century, the Agency for Cultural Affairs to the early Middle Kofun period. It stands north-east of the rear circle of Nakatsuyama Kofun (the Nakatsuhime mausoleum), cutting into that mound's outer embankment, and is not part of the Mitsuzuka trio. Its axis appears to follow a line radiating from the centre of Nakatsuyama's rear circle; the mound is thought to have been closely related to Nakatsuyama. A moat rings the mound, preserved underground.

Not managed by the IHA. Administered by Fujiidera City as a national historic site. Located northeast of the rear mound of Nakatsuyama Kofun (Nakatsuhime mausoleum, 290m); not part of the Mitsuzuka trio (Suketayama, Nakayamazuka, Yashimazuka).
