Overview
A square mound (43m long) in the dense square-mound cluster south of Konda Gobyoyama. A 5th-century accessory burial in the "Ojin Mausoleum Zone." The name "Kuriduka" may derive from chestnut trees once growing here. Not IHA-managed; administered by Fujiidera City. Constituent monument of the "Mozu-Furuichi Kofun Group" UNESCO WHS (2019). The cluster of accessory mounds south of Konda Gobyoyama demonstrates a complex funerary zone, reflecting the ancient practice of burying retainers and kin near the great king's tomb.
Finds & research
Excavation records are limited. Surface-collected haniwa and pottery fragments have been reported, but burial chamber details are unconfirmed.

Archaeological view
A square mound (43m long), occupant unknown. 5th century. Located south of Konda Gobyoyama, in the same cluster as Higashiumaduka, Higashiyama, Kuriduka, Karafoyama, and Inariduka. "Kuriduka" (Chestnut Mound) may refer to chestnut trees (kuri) once growing on or near the mound—a vegetation-based place name common for ancient burial sites. A medium-small square mound of typical accessory burial scale.
