Keyhole mound ~32m long in Kambe, Kishigawa-cho, Kinokawa City. Mid-6th century. The defining feature is its nationally rare location — isolated in the middle of Hiraike, Wakayama's largest irrigation pond. The mound appears to float on the water surface, creating a visually striking landmark. Surrounding moat, causeway, cylindrical haniwa, household haniwa, and Sue ware confirmed. Located ~200m west of Futago-Zanmai-zuka Kofun (id:358).

Field notes
About 15 min by car from Kishigawa Line "Kishi" Station (Wakayama Electric Railway) or JR Wakayama Line "Koko" Station. The site is developed as Hiraike Ryokuchi Park with a walking path offering views of the mound across the water. Combine with Futago-Zanmai-zuka (id:358) and Maruyama (id:325) for a Kinokawa City kofun tour.
