Overview
A square mound 68m on a side and 10.7m high, built in two tiers east of the rear circle of Hakayama Kofun. About one fifth of its western side and its moat cut into Hakayama's outer embankment, and a causeway links that embankment to the foot of the mound. Its axis is thought to follow a line extending east-south-east from the center of Hakayama's rear circle; this placement and orientation are thought to indicate a close relationship between the two mounds. Parts of a moat on the west and north are preserved underground. Built in the first half of the 5th century, it is administered by the Imperial Household Agency and is a constituent monument of the Mozu-Furuichi Kofun Group World Heritage Site, inscribed in 2019.
Finds & research
Cylindrical and figural haniwa have been recovered. Details of the burial facility and grave goods are unknown.

Archaeological view
A square mound 68m long and 10.7m high, built in two tiers east of the rear circle of Hakayama Kofun (225m). The IHA administers it as satellite "ni" of the Emperor Ojin mausoleum (per Habikino City's list). Its western fifth and its moat cut into Hakayama's outer embankment, to which it is joined by an earthen causeway. Dated to the middle of the Middle Kofun period (first half of the 5th century). A moat survives on part of the west and north sides, preserved underground. Cylindrical and figural haniwa have been recovered.
Imperial Household Agency view
Managed by the Imperial Household Agency as "Satellite Tomb No. Ni" of the Mausoleum of Emperor Ojin; public entry onto the mound is not permitted. Administratively it is a satellite of the Ojin mausoleum, but archaeologically it is regarded as an accessory mound of the neighboring Hakayama Kofun. A constituent monument of the Mozu-Furuichi World Heritage property.
