Overview
A 103m national historic site in the Furuichi group. A 5th-century three-tiered keyhole mound with stone covering and haniwa. Located south of Konda Gobyoyama with an accessory character, though not formally an IHA satellite. Administered by Habikino City as a national historic site. Together with Minegatsuka Kofun, it forms part of the southern Furuichi group walking route.Constituent monument of the "Mozu-Furuichi Kofun Group" UNESCO WHS (2019). "Hazamiyama" may derive from "hazama" (gap or valley), a topographic place name. The central to southern part of the Furuichi group is a mix of large IHA-restricted mausolea and publicly accessible national historic sites—Hazamiyama, Minegatsuka, Nonaka, and others. This cluster of open-access mounds is where ordinary visitors can directly experience the Furuichi group, forming the highlight of walking routes starting from Kintetsu Furuchi or Kaminotaishi stations.

Fujiidera City surveys confirmed fukiishi and haniwa rows. The mound is outside IHA jurisdiction but detailed excavation records are limited.

Archaeological view
Occupant unknown. A 103m keyhole mound of the 5th century. Located south of Konda Gobyoyama (425m), geographically suggesting a satellite relationship, though not formally designated as an IHA satellite. Three-tiered construction with stone covering and haniwa confirmed—a typical medium-scale 5th-century keyhole mound. The name "Hazamiyama" may relate to "hazami" (scissors/gap), reflecting the mound's position between neighboring mounds. Well preserved as a National Historic Site; exterior viewing is possible.
