A 27.5m round mound in Kuze-Shibagahara, Joyo City — one of the four mounds of the National Historic Site Kutsukawa Kofun Group (added 2016). A nationally rare example of a kofun located within an elementary school grounds. Mid-5th century; part of the Kutsukawa Kofun Group tour together with Kurumazuka (id:281), Maruzuka (id:283), and Basho-zuka (id:282).

Archaeological view
A 27.5m round mound (possibly with a projection), two-tiered with stone paving and haniwa. Mid-5th century. Located at the southern end of the Kutsukawa Kofun Group. A nationally rare example of a kofun preserved within an elementary school grounds. Belongs to the same kofun group as Kutsukawa Kurumazuka (id:281) and Maruzuka (id:283).

About 15 min walk from Kintetsu Kyoto Line "Terada" Station. Pre-visit confirmation recommended as it is within school grounds. Efficient to visit together with other Kutsukawa Kofun Group mounds (id:281, id:283).
