Houses one of the oldest horizontal stone chambers in Kyoto Prefecture, marking the introduction of this burial type in the Otokuni region. One of the early 6th-century Otokuni chieftain tombs.

Considered to have one of the oldest horizontal stone chambers in Kyoto Prefecture (single-flanked), making it a chieftain's tomb marking the introduction of horizontal stone chambers in the Otokuni region. Designated at the same time as Chohoji Minami-hara Kofun (id:285). One of a group of 6th-century Otokuni chieftain tombs alongside Inouchi Kurumazuka and Inouchi Inarizuka.
