51m scallop-shell mound in Oyamazaki Town — a National Historic Site within the Otokuni Kofun Group. Located in the historic Yamazaki area at the foot of Tennozan. The area is also famous for the Battle of Yamazaki (1582), making this a dual-layered historical site.

51m scallop-shell mound (rear circle 38.4m, over 6.5m high; front 12.5m). Late 4th–early 5th century (~400 CE). Pit-style stone chamber in rear. Artifacts include bronze mirror fragments (decorated with divine beasts and ring pattern), jadeite comma-shaped beads, iron weapons, and pottery. Presumed chieftain tomb of the Oyamazaki (Yamazaki) area. Located at the northern foot of Tennozan. Discovered in 1967, excavated in 1969.
