Overview
A designated tomb beside Emperor Kinmei's mausoleum in Hirata, Asuka. The Monkey Stones, viewable up close through the fence, are a must-see of the Asuka mysterious-stones circuit with the Oni stones (id:580) and the Turtle Stone.
Finds & research
The tomb's burial facility and finds are unknown; the four Monkey Stones were relocated from another site.

Archaeological view
An IHA-designated tomb whose archaeological form, size, date, and burial facility are not established in the public record. The four Monkey Stones now inside the enclosure were unearthed in 1702 south of Emperor Kinmei's mausoleum and moved here after later repairs; they are not grave goods from this tomb.
Imperial Household Agency view
Managed by the IHA as the Hinokuma Tomb of Kibihime-no-Okimi, mother of Empress Kogyoku (Saimei) and Emperor Kotoku, designated per the Engishiki's note placing it within Emperor Kinmei's precinct.
