Archaeological view
A mid-period group on the Gamo plain: Amagoiyama, a ~65m square mound (Shiga's largest class), and Kubotayama, a 57m round mound with projections — both 5th century, with paving and haniwa. Burials unresolved. The group once included Kensaizuka (70–80m, the prefecture's largest round mound), now lost.
