A square-fronted, square-backed tumulus in Sakamoto, Meiwa Town, Mie Prefecture. Mound length 38.0m; rear mound 4.2m high. A rare tumulus sometimes described as the last zenpo-koho-fun (rear-square mound) built in Japan. The core of Sakamoto Kofun Group (Prefectural Historic Site). A gilt-bronze hilt-pommel sword unearthed here is a Prefectural Tangible Cultural Property. Open to the public as Sakamoto Kofun Park.

Archaeological view
A 38.0m square-fronted, square-backed mound in Meiwa, with a 4.2m-high rear. Built in the early 7th century, it used a directly buried wooden coffin.
Imperial Household Agency view
Not an IHA mausoleum. Mounds 1–4 and 6 were designated a Mie Prefectural Historic Site in 2004.
