A front-square, rear-square (zenpō-kōhō-fun) tumulus in Ureshino, Matsusaka City, Mie Prefecture. The largest square-type mound in Mie Prefecture at 82.2m. Dating to the second half of the 4th century, the burial facility is a clay-lined coffin chamber. Finds include bronze mirrors, swords, spears, and stone ornaments. National Historic Site.
Bronze mirrors, sword blades, spearheads, ringed stones, stone bracelets, tubular stone objects, jar-shaped pottery.
About 20 minutes by car from central Matsusaka City. A rare example of a front-square/rear-square keyhole tumulus.
