A large round mound on the left bank near the Takeno River mouth and a National Historic Site containing a chest-shaped sarcophagus sometimes called a “ruler's coffin.” Its diameter is about 55m.

The chest-shaped sarcophagus contained a clay pillow, knife, mirror, beads, weapons, armor-related objects, and other goods.

Archaeological view
An approximately 55m two-tiered round mound at Takeno, Tango-cho, Kyotango. Built in the mid-5th century, it has stone facing and haniwa. An assembled chest-shaped stone sarcophagus was identified in a 1939 investigation.

This is not an IHA mausoleum. It was designated a National Historic Site on 1 July 1957.
