Stone facing and cylindrical haniwa are documented. Because the mound is unexcavated, its burial facility and grave goods are unknown.
Two views on the occupant
Archaeological view
A 105m keyhole mound at Kurobe, Yasaka-cho, Kyotango. Built in the early 5th century, it has documented stone facing and cylindrical haniwa. The mound survives well but has not been excavated.
Imperial Household Agency view
This is not an IHA mausoleum. It was designated a Kyoto Prefectural Historic Site on 15 April 1983.
Field notes
Because the mound is surrounded by farmland, follow on-site signs and do not enter private land.
