A National Historic Site within the Yamato Kofun Group. It is dated to the first half of the Early Kofun period (early 4th century).
Finds & research
The pit chamber yielded a wooden coffin and iron objects. A smaller chamber northwest of it contained a large inner-flower-pattern mirror about 37cm in diameter.

Archaeological view
An approximately 120m square-fronted mound at Joganji, Tenri, dated to the first half of the Early Kofun period. Investigations in 1995–96 identified a 6.8m pit-style stone chamber and a wooden coffin.
Imperial Household Agency view
This is not an IHA mausoleum. It was designated a component of the National Historic Site Yamato Kofun Group on 6 October 2014.
