Archaeological view
A scallop-shaped mound (~57m main knoll + 8.5m projection = ~65m; 7.3–8m high), two-tiered with paving, a 13–20m moat and outer bank, built in the early 5th century. Rich figural haniwa — rooster, boat, house, waterbird, shield, armor — plus a cuirass, glass beads, talc miniatures, and Sue ware were recovered.
